Following the cancellations of ‘Katy Keene’ and ‘The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina’, the seventh installment pulls back the curtains on the ‘Archiverse’. KJ Apa, who plays the title character, sparked reactions to the news, saying during the CW Upfronts presentation, “I’m sad to say goodbye to Riverdale next season, to our sets, to our crew, to our producers, to our CW Family but I can speak for everyone, for Camila Mendes, who plays Veronica]Cole [Sprouse, Jughead]Lily [Reinhart, Betty], and the rest of our cast we are so grateful for everyone’s support. For the fans, without the fans, none of this would be possible.”
